Principal’s Welcome
Whether you’re a familiar face within the TPS community or a newcomer seeking an exceptional educational journey, I extend a heartfelt welcome to each and every one of you. It is an honour and a privilege to step into the role of Principal at Taradale Primary School and become a part of this wonderful learning community.
About us
Welcome to Taradale Primary School
We are a friendly kura with around 450 tamariki from Year 0 to Year 6. Guided by our 3 R’s – Respect, Responsibility and Relationships – we work together with whānau and our community to create a safe, caring place where learning and hauora thrive.
Our Way
At Taradale Primary School, Our Whakawhanaungatanga is also at the heart of how we learn and connect. It reflects the learning dispositions we believe are important to be the best learners we can be. Through kindness, perseverance, creativity and collaboration, our tamariki grow as confident and independent learners who are ready to thrive in life.
General Information
Taradale Primary is a learner-centred kura where tamariki are encouraged to explore, question, and grow. The wellbeing (hauora) of our school community underpins everything we do, helping everyone to thrive. We offer a wide range of opportunities so every ākonga can succeed, guided each day by our values of Respect, Relationships, and Responsibility.
